The Latest Update on KHS Clubs

Arwa Ouali

With all the work that has come with virtual learning, clubs have become an enjoyable spot for students to chat and relax after classes. Clubs allow students to meet friends and make lifelong bonds, encourage them to participate, create connections and a community, give students a chance to de-stress from homework, teach them how to manage time, and much more. While clubs offer a multitude of benefits and there are various types certain to interest all students, there has been a decline in the number of participants in clubs.

Some hypotheses as to why there is a decrease are that students are overwhelmed with their schoolwork ad another reason is that winter sports have begun. Another conjecture is that students are feeling depressed and their mental health is worsening as the school year drags on. There are many possible reasons for this decrease, but no need to feel down!

Whether one is new to KHS or is graduating by the end of this year, there are many clubs to join. Take the time to join at least one club and appreciate the company of others during the uncertain times we all are living through.
