Update on the Boys Tennis Team

Karla Santamaria

Spring welcomes a lot of great sports for KHS, as it is also the beginning of beautiful weather. The boys’ tennis team is part of the spring season and their instructor, Coach Silpoch is nothing but proud of his team. He and assistant coach Carlos Arenas are working hard with the boys and, so far, their hard work has been fruitful.

The boys won their first game against Dickinson (4-1). Like any good, team, losses are inevitable; the boys lost their match against Memorial (2-3), but put everything they had in the following match against Bayonne where they won 5-0. This leaves them at a total of 2-1 out of the three games they’ve had so far, as of 4/26/21.

Coach Silpoch believes in the potential of his team and says they “are looking to have a successful season.”
