The Varsity Girls Basketball team scored a win over Clifton in the play offs last week! With a score 51-35 things are looking good for the girls of Kearny High. Mariel Ruiz lead the points with 24 baskets and 15 rebounds. Makayla David added 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals or her own. Last but certainly not least Jolianna Escalante contributed eight points, 15 rebounds, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Special mention goes to Freshman Gianna Covelo who locked down 6 assists this game.
Wish the girls Basketball team luck on March 3rd where they will be having their next state championship game.
